ROLE DESCRIPTIONAt the John McGee State Farm Agency, we are a close-knit, small business dedicated to providing personalized insurance solutions to our clients. We are seeking an outgoing and personable Insurance Account Representative who thrives in a small team environment and is passionate about helping clients protect what matters most.As an Insurance Account Representative, you will play a dual role in both service and sales. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance on insurance coverages and protection options. Your ability to learn quickly and anticipate client needs through needs-based discussions will be key to your success. Additionally, this role requires proactive networking and willingness to cold call prospective clients, as well as pivoting current customers to additional products to grow their protection and our business.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients regarding their insurance policies and coverage options.
- Conduct needs-based consultations to identify client risks and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Manage client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate service, policy updates, and renewals.
- Network within the community and industry to generate new business opportunities.
- Willingly perform cold calling to prospective clients to establish relationships and grow the customer base.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional insurance products to existing clients.
- Collaborate closely with a small team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and regulations to provide informed advice.
- Assist with quoting, policy issuance, and claims support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Outgoing, personable, and excellent communication skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp complex insurance concepts and products.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate client needs.
- Comfortable working in a small team and contributing to a collaborative environment.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to network and perform cold calling.
- Previous experience in insurance sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Must possess an Ohio Property and Casualty License and an Ohio Life and Health License or be able to obtain both.
- Ability to pass a background check is required.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Compensation $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
